With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, The Lighthouse asked students and faculty to share a time they experienced good luck:

“One time a while ago, we were suppose to get a really bad snowstorm, and I had to walk home that day. Luckily, I was lucky enough to get home before it got really bad.”
Isabella DiPisa, freshman

“For the Bergen County auditions, it was my first time auditioning. I was nervous, but I got in.”
Sara Rose Sammarone, freshman

“I was playing a VR game, and it got really scary, so I threw the phone and the headset off my head. Luckily, neither of them broke.”
David Fonseca, sophomore

“I was in Disney World and a worker approached my family and offered us a FastPass for any ride we wanted. We got on the new Avatar ride within 20 minutes when it should have been at least two hours.”
Jenny Taliento, sophomore

“I was swimming in the ocean, and I lost my glasses. Then about 20 minutes later, I went back and found them washing up on shore.”
Yara Attia, junior

“I went to Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, and they were late on bringing out my pizza, so they gave me free chicken wings.”
Luis Harris, junior

“Mrs. Ruiz gave me permission to yell at Coach Tuero for breaking the basket at musical.”
Anthony Hayes, senior

“I won the Bergen County boys tournament for bowling.”
Michael Lavell, senior

“I went to a murder mystery and ended up winning six items: a big Smart TV, a candle basket, a comic book basket, an Amazon gift card, a Skylark Diner doughnut gift card and a Third Wave gift card.”
Mrs. DeForge, Library Technician

“I recently won $5,000 on a [talent competition] TV show.”
Ms. DiMaggio, English Teacher
