This is Carolina’s first year on The Lighthouse staff. She contributed illustrations last year, and she’s glad that she is officially part of the team. In her spare time, Carolina enjoys drawing and painting. She is on the varsity swim team and contributes to the Animal Welfare Club, Art Club, Italian Club and International Culture Club. She looks forward to producing more illustrations and visual elements for the newspaper.

This is Caila’s second year in the journalism program. She enjoys dancing and holds a pageant title as Young Miss New Jersey. She aspires to have a career in fashion design and is planning to remain in the journalism program through her senior year. Her goal is also to improve as a writer.

This is Alexa’s third year in the journalism program. She plays basketball in the winter and varsity softball in the spring. Alexa also plays travel softball on her club team throughout the year. She enjoys writing and posting on social media for The Lighthouse.

This is Aidan’s first year in the journalism program. He plays basketball in the winter and is also in an Amateur Athletic League year-round. He is very happy that he was able to join the journalism program after two years of seeing the type of journalism The Lighthouse produces.

This is Stephanie’s first year on The Lighthouse staff. She hopes to take part in every aspect of journalism. She is the statistician for the girls varsity soccer as well as the swim team. Stephanie enjoys reading and going for long walks. Her dream is to travel the world and experience the individual beauties of life.

She also serves as the junior class vice president and vice president of membership for Future Business Leaders of America. She also is on the softball team and takes part in many clubs including the Athletic Trainers Club and Future Business Leaders of America. She hopes to attend college and study nursing.

She is not on any sports teams, but she is a part of the Animal Welfare Club and Book Club. She does not yet know what she wants to study in college, but she would like for it to be science-related.

Alexa is a junior, and this is her first year on The Lighthouse staff. Alexa loves to illustrate and show off her creative skills. Alexa is also student director of the annual play, president of the International Culture Club, secretary of the junior class and a member of the swim team. In her free time, Alexa likes to watch movies and hang out with her dog. Alexa is excited to share her artwork with The Lighthouse.

This is Matthew's first year on The Lighthouse staff. He likes to write about modern politics and political issues. His favorite sport is hockey and favorite team is the Los Angeles Kings. He also likes to play video games. His favorite video game is Destiny 2.

This is Emma’s third year on The Lighthouse staff. She is captain of the color guard and enjoys debating on the mock trial team. Emma is also a member of the varsity swim team and is in the International Culture Club. Emma likes to bake and settle down with a long book. She hopes to bring all her skills to her role as editor-in-chief and make this year the best yet for The Lighthouse.

She is on the varsity swim team and captain for the varsity cross country team. She participates in the Art Club, Athletic Trainers Club as secretary, Environmental Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Peer Group and National Honor Society as treasurer. She enjoys writing and hopes to expand The Lighthouse’s social media presence as managing editor.

Overall, Samantha has a passion for sharing her thoughts and ideas with those around her, and she is ecstatic to have that opportunity because of The Lighthouse.

Justin has been inspired to pursue a career in medicine. He is a two-sport athlete and really values teamwork.
