Lily Anderson

Copy Editor

This is senior Lily Anderson’s second year in the journalism program and first year serving as copy editor. She plays the clarinet in the band and tenor saxophone in the jazz band and is an alto in the chorale. Lily is also a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and several other clubs. She enjoys reading, playing video games and hanging out with her friends. She is excited to take on new projects for The Lighthouse before she graduates.

This is senior Nikki Antonesco’s fourth year in the journalism program and second year serving as managing editor. She loves helping out the LHS community and holds many leadership positions in the activities she is involved with. In her free time, Nikki enjoys listening to music, going to New York City and hanging out with her friends. In college, she plans to major in forensics with a minor in psychology and contribute to the student newspaper.

This is sophomore Isabella Apple’s first year in the journalism program. She is part of the Animal Welfare Club. Her passion is dancing competitively. She enjoys cheering and playing softball as well. In her free time, Isabella likes reading, listening to music and hanging out with her friends. She is excited to be a part of The Lighthouse to see what she can bring to the program and improve her writing skills and creativity.

This is junior Drew Bancroft’s first year in the journalism program. He is a dedicated member of the band and jazz band and serves as the section leader for the percussion section. Additionally, he is involved with the chorale, play and musical at LHS. He also enjoys participating in clubs including the Gay Straight Alliance Club and Tech Club. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, practicing the drums and swimming for the high school’s team and his club team.

This is senior Emma Bannon’s second year in the journalism program and first year serving as editor. She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club where she holds the position of president and a member of the National Honor Society where she holds the position of corresponding secretary. Emma is also a member of the Athletic Trainers Club, Medical Club and World Language Honor Society. Emma competes at the varsity level on the indoor and outdoor track and field team. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends and family.

This is Gabriel Campos’s first year in the journalism program. He plays trumpet in the band, is a member of the Chess Club and is a varsity runner on the cross country team. In his free time, Gabriel enjoys listening to music, reading and spending time with friends. He looks forward to a bright first year in the journalism program.

This is junior Chiara Cardone’s first year in the journalism program. She is a member of the Board Game Club, president of the Italian Club and member of the World Language Honor Society. She enjoys volunteering for Lyndhurst Parks and Recreation’s Integrated Soccer Program for Exceptional Individuals. In her free time, Chiara is a competitive dancer and dedicates a lot of time to the sport. She also loves listening to music and sometimes writes poetry.

She plays saxophone in the band and is a member of the Environmental, Mock Trial and Tech Clubs. In her free time, Zahara likes cooking, reading and watching sitcoms. She enjoys writing news articles and is excited to work alongside her peers this year.

This is junior Janset Cinaz’s third year in the journalism program and first year serving as a managing editor. She is the voice of the school on the morning announcements and enjoys public speaking. Janset is passionate about volunteering in her community. She is the vice president of the Future Business Leaders of America Club and loves being involved in this organization. In her free time, Janset likes to travel to New York City and hang out with her friends. This year, she wants to spend more time on her assignments for The Lighthouse to hopefully earn some awards.

This is sophomore Adriana Dominguez’s first year in the journalism program. They are a member of the color guard. They enjoy illustrating and drawing traditionally. They are also a member of the Art Club and hope to become president next year. Adriana enjoys spending time with their little sister, having fun with the other color guard members during games, writing poems, spending time alone and listening to music. They are excited to be a member of The Lighthouse.

This is senior Camille Echols’ third year in the journalism program and her first year serving as editor-in-chief. She is a member of several clubs including the Animal Welfare, Book, Environmental and Robotics Clubs. She volunteers at the Bergen County Humane Society once a week. She is excited to take on the role of editor-in-chief this year by laying out the print newspaper while continuing to write articles. Outside of school, Camille enjoys reading and writing stories as well as playing video games such as The Sims 4.

She is part of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, Medical Club, soccer team and swim team. Sena is excited about her role on The Lighthouse staff and can’t wait to see what the rest of her time at LHS brings her.

This is senior Ava Gonzalez’s second year in the journalism program. In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends, going on road trips, going to the beach and listening to music–specifically Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan and the “Hamilton” soundtrack. She is part of the National Honor Society as well as the Future Business Leaders of America, Law Enforcement, Medical and Mock Trial Clubs as well as Wonder Girls. She hopes to pursue a career in psychology and is excited to help produce a mental health podcast for The Lighthouse.

She is also a member of the Athletic Trainers, Crime and Medical Clubs as well as Wonder Girls. She is executive secretary for the Future Business Leaders of America Club and president of the Class of 2026. In her free time, Nikalena enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, listening to music and going to Starbucks. She is excited to continue her journey with The Lighthouse and take on more responsibilities as an editor this year.

This is senior Ciccio Infurna’s second year in the journalism program and the first year serving as deputy editor. He is a member of the Animation and Motion Graphics Clubs, Future Business Leaders of America Club and World Language Honor Society. He loves going out with his friends and playing soccer, practicing the piano, drawing, watching sports and movies, listening to music and working after school. Ciccio hopes to continue writing articles on important ongoing issues in his editorials. He plans to major in computer science in college.

She fences sabre and enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, listening to music and reading. She is secretary of the Class of 2026 Council. She is also a member of the Animal Welfare, Debate and Future Business Leaders of America Club as well as Wonder Girls. Alexandra looks forward to having a successful year as a writer and editor and staying in this program for the rest of her high school career.

She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, National Honor Society, Wonder Girls and several other clubs. She loves to go to the gym, play volleyball and read. Anastasia is excited to write sports and other school-related articles for The Lighthouse.

This is junior Gianfranco Martinez’s third year in the journalism program and second year serving as editor. For the past few years, he has had an interest in technology and hopes to create a job out of his hobby. In Gianfranco’s Radio-Active podcast, he reflects on how technology is being used immorally, targeting people’s freedoms and privacy. Gianfranco is also open to talking about hot-button topics relating to new technologies.

This is senior Jude McElroy’s fourth and final year in the journalism program and third year as an editor. He enjoys writing reviews and opinion articles. Jude likes playing video games in his free time and plans to pursue a career in journalism.

This is senior Giovanni Mule´s first year in the journalism program. His favorite sport is track and field where he throws for the Lyndhurst track and field team. This will be his third year on the team. In his free time, he enjoys writing, which is the reason why he wanted to join The Lighthouse. Giovanni is also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, which he joined as a junior. He loves writing reviews and personal narratives to reflect on his past experiences.

This is senior Keso Mumladze’s first year in the journalism program. She loves interacting with people and having interesting conversations. For this reason, she plans to study international relations in college. She is passionate about photography, singing and making accessories for her brand called Atarekesa, which is distinguished by beautiful colors and individualism. Her brand has existed since 2019, has many customers and has become very relevant on social networks. Keso recognizes her family as her motivation and looks at the future with eyes of hope. She is a member of multiple LHS clubs, with the Future Business Leaders of America Club being one of her favorites. Keso is excited to be learning about journalism and improving her writing skills this year.

In college, she plans to major in nursing because she has always been interested in the medical field.

Dana is also a member of the band, where she plays the flute. She is excited to write news articles for The Lighthouse and make the most out of her last year on The Lighthouse staff.

Rayan is also in the cast of the plays and musicals performed in the fall and winter, respectively. He enjoys listening to and creating music, performing, reading, hanging out with friends and watching shows and movies. He is looking forward to seizing new opportunities on The Lighthouse staff and is excited to share his passions and ideas through his writing.
