Hydrate, moisturize and nourish! The weather is changing and that means your skincare routine needs to change too. Try these seven tips to maintain your best look despite dropping temperatures.

  1. Change your cleanser.

Change in season, change in products. This is why I encourage you to try Neutrogena’s Hydroboost Hydrating Cleansing Gel, which sells for $8.99 at Ulta Beauty. With hyaluronic acid (a powerful humectant that increases skin’s hydration level), it boosts hydration for soft, plump skin. It also effectively removes makeup as well as impurities and works great for normal to dry skin.

  1. Exfoliate.

Exfoliating is the best way to remove dead skin and even out your skin tone. A personal favorite of mine is Origins Ginzing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser available at Sephora for $20.50. This two-in-one scrub is enriched with ginseng and energizing coffee beans. It revitalizes the skin to leave it looking smooth and radiant. Plus, it has a great orange scent, so you’ll be ready to face the day.

  1. Get the face masks ready.

To restore moisture taken from your skin due to weather changes, use a face mask that adds moisture. Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask is an excellent option that sells for $14.39 at Walmart. Infused with clary sage, this mask provides immediate hydration and helps increase the skin’s ability to retain moisture.

  1. Change your moisturizer.

As the cold is approaching, skin tends to get dry and lose its radiance. Although quite pricey, the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer at Sephora is worth every penny of the $40 retail price. With a combination of hyaluronic acids, soothing rosewater and nourishing rose flower oil, this gel-cream delivers intense 24-hour moisture for normal to dry skin, leaving it glowing and super soft.

  1. Use Facial oils.

Oils are known to make a remarkable difference for dry or dehydrated skin, but they can even help oily skin. For normal to dry skin, Burt’s Bees Complete Nourishment Facial Oil is available at Target for $11.29. The concentrated blend of Rosehip, Jojoba and Evening Primrose provides all day hydration and helps the appearance of dull skin.

For oily skin, try Olivia Care 100 percent Natural Jojoba Oil Serum, which sells for $8 at Target. Jojoba oil helps your body mix its own sebum (an oily secretion of the sebaceous glands) while dissolving excess oils and balancing its production.

  1. Utilize lip balm.

Lip balm is a must-have in everyone’s makeup bag. Even if you have your favorite already, you need to stock up before the colder months arrive. My personal favorite is Vaseline Lip Therapy Lip Balm Tin Rosy Lips. Available at Walmart for $2.97, this lip balm is the way to go. Vaseline gives lips a natural, glossy shine that comes from petroleum jelly. Additionally, this product contains rose, aloe and cocoa butter extracts that provide long-lasting moisture for luscious lips.
