After choosing from dozens of dresses and casual outfits, being fitted for suits and searching through closets for accessories, 65 seniors gathered together to participate in the Class of 2019 fashion show on March 12.

The $13,640 raised at this event will go towards funding Project Graduation, an all-night celebration set to take place at MetLife Stadium on June 19 following graduation.

The fashion show, which took place at The Fiesta in Wood-Ridge, began with formalwear. For the first walk, the models displayed their elegant outfits donated by Biltmore Tuxedos of Rutherford, Cozy Formal Wear Inc in Nutley, PromGirl in Secaucus and Tuxedo by Sarno in Secaucus.

Luckily, senior Ariana Lombardi and four professional makeup artists were stationed in the backstage area to help the girls prepare for their trip down the catwalk.

Dark, detailed makeup was definitely the style of the night. For the second walk, the models proudly displayed their casual outfits sponsored by Desired Attire, an online women’s clothing boutique, and Mandee in Clifton. Although most of the females chose to wear dresses, jumpsuits and rompers, the boys went in the opposite direction. The majority of the males rocked sports jerseys or spirit wear from professional teams.

As each pair walked down the runway displaying their clothing styles, seniors Rachel Alemany and Konrad Skwara narrated. The energetic individuals behind the daily morning announcements informed the audience about the outfits and made up funny facts about each model to maintain the lighthearted atmosphere.

At the conclusion of the night, over 100 tricky tray gifts were raffled off with the help of the models.

From the hilarious opening act where football Coaches Castagnetti and Tuero danced down the runway to the upbeat music provided by DJ Bobby Giangeruso as the seniors strutted in the spotlight, the fashion show proved to be both a success and an unforgettable evening.
