“Excuse me, I love you” is an extravagant concert film featured on Netflix that captures highlights from Grande’s Sweetener tour. This Netflix original came out on Dec. 21. The documentary reveals what it’s like to experience one of her concerts.

“Excuse me, I love you” does not reveal much about Grande’s personal life like common documentaries do, but has similar qualities to the One Direction “This Is Us” concert documentary. For instance, watchers can get a glimpse of Grande’s dramatic fall when she hears the news that the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Trump.

While a general audience might not feel like the unexpectedly sedate documentary does all that much to enhance Grande’s concert experience and impressive catalog of vowel-forward pop bangers, fans believe it does.

Watching this documentary will make fans feel like they are a part of the crowd without being there.

Grande is a talented singer and songwriter, and her music gives many women confidence through her lyrics. The film guest stars Mariah Carey, who is one of Grande’s role models. In the documentary, Grande matches Carey’s whistle tones. This is important because Mariah Carey is an inspiration to Grande and she took this performance to heart. They also film the music video for “Oh Santa!” together during the documentary.

The documentary offers an inside look into Grande’s concert life. It takes viewers on the journey that Grande and her team endure. This was a fun and enjoyable tour documentary. It highlights Grande’s life on and off stage. The Netflix original showcases Grande’s incredible singing skills.

Seeing Grande back on stage after the Manchester arena bombing in 2017 showed her strength. This concert was healing for both Grande and her fans. Grande is an electric performer and her voice is angelic. The show in Manchester was important because it showed the growth of Grande and how she could learn to love to perform again after the bombing.

Watching this documentary will make fans feel like they are a part of the crowd without being there.

Additionally, Grande’s dancing skills are also unmatched. Grande dances and sings while on stage which is hard for most performers to do. Grande performs her heart out for her fans and it shows while on stage.

“Thank U, Next” was the best part of the documentary. There is a reason the single wiped the internet out in a day. The album was too good and the performance was unlike anything I have ever seen before. Nothing could beat the closing performance of “Thank U, Next.”

Grande fans should definitely tune into the documentary, but anyone would enjoy this film. “Excuse me, I love you” shows Grande finding happiness even after going through a traumatic past.
