Playboi Carti is a young man whose real name is Jordan Carter and was born on Sept. 13, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a singer, songwriter and Rapper. Carti is a peaceful person and can be very diplomatic and tactful. He’s really good at understanding what people want or feel, works well with communities and finds a way to establish unity between various views in every way.

Playboi Carti’s career didn’t really start until he released the song “Magnolia” in 2017. After this, his entire career skyrocketed. This was not just the song that made him popular; it broke the internet. The reason why is because people absolutely loved this song, and right when it came out they created trends and dances that they can do to it.

After that, Playboi Carti dropped his second album “Die Lit,” which was released on May 11, 2018. True Carti fans had high hopes for this album and were happy it did not disappoint. This album was easily known as his biggest and most successful album yet, but only three months later, he announced he will be working on something new

“Whole Lotta Red” was long-awaited and released on December 25, 2020. The album consists of 24 songs, three of which have features by other artists like Future, Kanye West and Kid Cudi. All three of these artists appeared on different songs. Future appeared on “Teen X,” Kanye West appeared on “Go2DaMoon” and Kid Cudi was featured on “M3tamorphosis.”

It took two years, so fans were thinking when this album was released that it was going to be the biggest hit of 2020. This wasn’t his worst album, but it definitely wasn’t the best, and honestly, it would have been really hard to beat ‘Die Lit.’

At first glance, a normal fan would just think it’s nothing but a regular album, not that good or bad, but if someone were to break this album down fully they would understand that it’s actually pretty decent. The beat and lyrics for all the songs are very good and well put together. Most fans were disappointed with what they got from Carti, but that’s to be expected. They thought since it took Carti two years to make this album, it was going to be one of the best albums ever created. This is asking way too much of a young rapper like him who has only had two other albums under his belt.

Carti added his punk style to the music very well and rapped with a fast-paced beat like that of party songs. Out of the 24 songs, there are seven that are top-rated: “Go2DaMoon,” “IloveUIHateU,” “New N3on,” “Place, Sky,” “Slay3r” and “Vamp Anthem.”  These seven songs are all really good because they fit his style and personality well. Each of them has good beats and lyrics that work well together.

In one of his last songs of the album “Die4Guy,” Carti says: “We some rockstars, we the new Black Flag.” The reason why he says this is because some of his inspirations came from rock stars before him that have the same punk style.

This album is alright, but Carti definitely could have done a better job. It took two years, so fans were thinking when this album was released that it was going to be the biggest hit of 2020. This wasn’t his worst album, but it definitely wasn’t the best, and honestly, it would have been really hard to beat “Die Lit.”

After everything is said and done, Carti now has fan feedback and is able to learn and make changes so he can create better music for his fans.
