TikTok, a commonly used app among individuals today, began as a platform used to showcase dance moves and lip-syncing. That is until it turned into something greater.

In recent months, TikTok has begun expanding its usefulness to include clothing and jewelry. This means that it creates fashion trends and ignites the selling-out of numerous clothing items in store.

The first trend seen was through a girl dancing and then proceeding to show her leggings. The comments then filled with questions about the leggings and had the whole app ecstatic over the way they looked. Simply, the young girl started a trend.

The leggings, black like most, looked just like any other until the front cross was revealed. With the cross at the front, the leggings imitated an hourglass-shaped body.

Following the viral outbreak of the leggings, the clothing store Aerie was sold out in minutes.

Still keeping its rhythm of dancing and lip-syncing, TikTok is now used to set fashion trends for young individuals.

In just a few days, after the sell-out, individuals on the app were sharing their thoughts about the leggings and urging others to buy them once they were restocked.

Similarly enough, North Face has also seen a sell-out of its brown puffer jackets.

Originally seen as a spin-off of North Face’s simple black jackets, the brown color made the jacket that much more eye-catching. One would think the jacket is just like any other, but after it appeared on TikTok, that was no longer the case.

Still keeping its rhythm of dancing and lip-syncing, TikTok is now used to set fashion trends for young individuals.

Due to this app and its popularityity among so many, individuals have been inspired to dress the way that their favorite influencers do on TikTok, which has led to stores selling out and young individuals crazy for simple clothing items such as leggings and jackets.
