Senior year has been a year like no other. It has come so fast, I could not believe it. I felt like I was going into freshman year just a day ago. Freshman year, I was a nervous wreck. I was scared to start high school, and I was always wondering what it was going to be like or if I was going to like it. I remember everyone telling me I had to enjoy every second because it was going to fly by in the blink of an eye. I guess they were right.
Luckily, I’ve loved all my classes throughout high school. This includes World History during freshman year, sophomore gym class and sophomore and senior English. Knowing I had great teachers and friends to spend time with made it easy waking up and going to school. Especially since I spent this year learning remotely, I’m going to miss the fun events we used to have like the pep rallies or the sports games and enjoying that serotonin.

My friends and I are for sure going to miss the Bear Cave and getting ready for football games. That feeling before and during a football game was unforgettable. For example, when our team won the ring in 2019, that was such a big deal. Being there in that moment with everyone from our school was extremely fun, and I would do it over again. That is definitely where I made the best memories and have made friends through school, so to any upcoming high school students, I would recommend going to school events and making new friends because it is worth it.
Although the pandemic took away a lot from my high school years, I am still grateful for the memories and opportunities I’ve had at LHS. I’ve loved every teacher and friend I’ve had and made and will forever remember Lyndhurst High School. In the fall, I will be attending William Paterson University in Wayne. My goals for the future are to become successful and study psychology.
