Golden State Warriors fans have been waiting for shooting guard Klay Thompson to return in National Basketball Association games, and the time has almost arrived.

Thompson has not played since Game 6 of the 2019 National Basketball Association finals against the Toronto Raptors, which took place on June 13. In that game, which ended in a championship win for the Raptors, Thompson tore his ACL after being fouled by Raptors small forward Danny Green when he went for a dunk off of point guard Steph Curry’s pass.

He brings energy and excitement to basketball, and when he and Curry work together, they are unstoppable.

Then, on Nov. 18, 2020, he tore his right Achilles in a pick-up game in Southern California.

After missing two seasons, Thompson told ESPN he is feeling great after playing 3-on-3 and starting 5-on-5’s. On Nov. 30, Thompson was cleared and started practicing with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, California.

It is great to see Thompson healthy and easing his way back into the game. He brings energy and excitement to basketball, and when he and Curry work together, they are unstoppable.

While fans want to see him before Christmas, Thompson needs to be ready to play, and the priority is to make sure he does not injure himself.

With a record of 21-5, the Warriors have been playing great, and it is going to be amazing watching Thompson contribute to his team’s success as he helps to make the Warrior the champions they once were.
