Continuing right where his previous project left off, Gunna released his third studio album titled “DS4EVER” on Jan. 7. The album includes 19 songs and is 54 minutes 54 seconds in length. The title “DS4EVER” stands for “Drip Season 4Ever,” which is a reference to his previous albums, which are titled “Drip Season,” “Drip Season 2” and “Drip Season 3.”

Gunna is a hip-hop artist who uses the beat to determine how fast he raps his lyrics. “DS4EVER” has a nice mix of mellow/chill and upbeat/fast. Gunna’s ability to change the speed of his rapping brings energy to his album.

The cover art, which features Gunna as a statue, reflects the “4EVER” message in the title. The sunglasses on the statue are a pop culture reference to “drip,” a slang word referring to accessories.

The most popular song on this album is “pushin P,” which features Young Thug. This song has a nice bass, and well-written lyrics, as Gunna raps about the meaning of “P” and explains the meaning of the slang term to describe his friends.

Ever since the song was released, it has been all over social media. The term “P” has taken the internet by storm, as people are now using it to refer to anything good.

Another great song from this album is “mop,” which also featured Young Thug. This song is fantastic from start to finish due to its pleasant beat and lyrics that are catchy because of their rhyme.

He sings, “Monica Lewinsky (ski) / Pass me your friendski (ski, ski) / I did a spinski (ski) / Out of a Benzski (ski, ski), / Everything is fancy (fancy) / Music in the pantry.”

This part of the song is especially catchy because the word “ski” is sung melodically, and the “ski” is significant because it is a reference to Young Thug’s nickname.

The most popular song on this album is “pushin P,” which features Young Thug. This song has a nice bass, and well-written lyrics, as Gunna raps about the meaning of “P” and explains the meaning of the slang term to describe his friends.

Gunna’s rapping on this album is strong, but the featured artists definitely take it to the next level. Some notable features include Future, G. Herbo, Kodak Black, Lil Baby and, as previously mentioned, Young Thug.

Although the album has good songs, the fifth track, “thought i was playing,” should not have made the cut. It isn’t terrible, but it also isn’t great. The song, which is about violence and getting revenge, has a dangerous message, and it is somewhat repetitive.

The track was saved by the verse featuring 21 Savage, who did a great job on the beat, but Gunna just didn’t deliver.

Despite having a few weak tracks, this album is definitely worth a listen, even if not every song makes it onto your playlist. Overall, it was a job well done by Gunna, and I am excited to see what he creates next.
