If you are looking for a fun game with an amazing storyline, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is for you.
In this game, which was released on Jan. 28, players battle, trade and catch different types of Pokémon to complete the Pokedex, which occurs when all Pokémon are captured.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus starts off with you in space talking to the god of Pokémon, Arceus. After you are done talking to Arceus, you fall out of a rift in the sky and land on grass. Once you land on the ground, you start to wake up and hear Professor Laventon. In order to choose your Pokémon, you have to catch all three of the starters, which are Cyndaquill, Oshawott and Rowlet. Once you have caught all of them, you have the option to choose one out of the three.
Once you choose your Pokémon, you are taken to a village called Jubilife Village, and the island that you are on is called Hisui. Professor Laventon greets you with a girl named Akari. She and the Professor are part of a team called Galaxy Team. The Professor introduces you to a high-ranking leader named Cyllene.
When the Professor tells Cyllene that you have caught three Pokémon, Cyllene does not believe you and she puts you up for a trial. If you pass, you can stay in the village and join the Galaxy Team Survey Corps, which is an expedition team. However, if you fail, you not only get kicked out of the village but you will be left to die in the wild. Once you complete the trial, you have to catch Pokémon for Cyllene and do story missions to progress further in the game and fight the vendor Volo.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is far different from any other Pokémon game. In all the other Pokémon games, you have to buy potions that heal your Pokémon and Poké Balls, which allow you to catch and store Pokémon. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, however, you can create food, Poké balls and potions to lure to attain Pokémon.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus also has some outstanding features that other Pokémon games don’t have, which include the ability to sneak up on Pokémon in the wild without going into a battle unless the Pokémon wants to fight. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows you to dodge Pokémon’s attacks, get materials to make items and complete missions in order to finish the game.
The coolest addition in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is alpha Pokémon. Alpha Pokémon are red-eyed Pokémon that are really big, strong and tall. They have the ability to attack and hurt you when you go near them.
Alpha Pokémon are difficult to catch. In fact, one of the only ways you can catch them is by throwing food or making a dish that they like in order to lower their aggression and catch them.
The best feature in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the empty Pokédex that you have to complete because it gives you more activities to work on when you don’t feel like completing missions. In other Pokémon games, you are only able to catch and battle Pokémon who do not seem harmful. On the other hand, Pokémon Legends: Arceus provides Pokémon in the wild and Alpha Pokémon to attack you and chase after you, which is really cool.
When I first bought Pokémon Legends: Arceus, I thought the animation would be like other Pokémon games, but after playing for three minutes, I could not believe my eyes. The animation, color and lighting were way different. It seemed like I was playing on a futuristic device. When I was battling a Pokémon, the attack moves that my Pokémon did seemed as if they were coming out of my screen.
My rating for Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a 9.9/10. I love how the developers made a Pokémon game with so many fun features, Pokémon and new styles of Pokémon gameplay. This game is definitely one that I will be enjoying and playing for a long time to come.
