Elden Ring, which shares similarities with the Dark Souls games, is the latest game released by FromSoftware. It was released on Jan. 28 and has sold over 12 million copies around the world. Elden Ring deserves its popularity, as it is one of the best games released so far this year.
Elden Ring can be played on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
Video games made from FromSoftware are very difficult, and Elden Ring follows this trend. The game begins with a cutscene of the Elden Ring, which is made up of Great Runes, shattering in a place called the Lands Between. The Lands Between is a place where there are demigods, monsters and people, and Great Runes are items dropped by the main bosses that players fight, and they can give them special abilities. The way a player can equip a Great Rune is by going to the top of the Divine Towers.
Queen Marika was nowhere to be found because she was killed, and after that, all demigods and Marika’s offspring claimed shards of the Elden Ring. The player is called the Tarnished, and after a tutorial, the Tarnished enters the game.
My favorite aspect of Elden Ring are the abilities, which are amazing in my opinion. Players can ride a horse, fast travel, put a marker on a map and equip Great Runes to achieve the main goal, which is to be Elden Lord.
Before the player gets to play the game, they have a choice of what class they want to choose. They can choose from Astrologer, Bandit, Confessor, Hero, Prisoner, Prophet, Samurai, Vagabond, Wretch and Warrior.
My favorite aspect of Elden Ring is the abilities, which are amazing in my opinion. Players can ride a horse, fast travel, put a marker on a map and equip Great Runes to achieve the main goal, which is to be Elden Lord.
My second favorite feature in the game is that players can attain the armor of bosses and the weapons they used in battle. With boss armor, players can go around looking for other sets of armor and weapons throughout their gameplay.
Another great feature of the game is that it has a series of different endings, which are the Age of Duskborn, Age of Fracture, Age of Order, Age of Stars, Elden Lord and Lord of Frenzied Flame.
The best part of the game is the animation, which is so good that it feels like the blasts and swings of bosses are coming right out of the screen so players feel like they must dodge them in real life. Players can play Elden Ring on a smooth 60 frames per second in 4k resolution.
The rating I would give for Elden Ring is 9.9/10 because Elden Ring has everything that I would want in a video game and because I will be playing this game for a long time to come. The reason this game does not earn a perfect score is that after I defeated bosses, the game had an update, which made the bosses easier, and then the developers changed it back to make it harder. I didn’t like the changes back and forth. Nonetheless, I love Elden Ring, as I will play over and over until I have had every possible achievement in the game.
My character talks to Melina, an important navigator who helps transport characters to the Round Table Hold.
