Even when it appears like Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and M.J. (Kirsten Dunst) are finally making progress in their troubled relationship, trouble lurks for the superhero and his partner in the action/sci-fi movie “Spider-Man 3.” In addition to granting Peter increased power, Peter’s Spider-Man suit shifts to black and seizes control of him, bringing out the darker side of his character.

Peter Parker’s life is quite challenging as he tries to juggle his identities as Peter and Spider-Man. When Peter comes into contact and bonds with an alien symbiote, the darker side of his personality comes out and his suit turns black. The symbiote affected him as a person, so the people who loved Spider-Man now show him hate. In an attempt to save himself and everything he holds dear, Peter must battle against the impact of the symbiote as Sandman and Venom emerge to defeat him.

Spider-Man 3” premiered in theaters on May 4, 2007 and was released on Hulu on Aug. 1, 2022. The movie is 2 hours, 19 minutes in length, which is long but worth every minute of watching. It will have you gasping with excitement and feeling anxious to find out what will happen next.

“Spider-Man 3” includes many characters who bring the plot together and keep the film interesting. They are Spider-Man’s Aunt May (Rosemary Harris), Dr. Curtis Connors (Dylan Baker), Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Gwen Stacey (Bryce Dallas Howard), Harry Osborn (James Franco) and, Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe).

My least favorite character is Harry Osborn because he constantly makes Spider-Man’s life a disaster because of what Spider-Man did to his father. Harry was the reason so many positive aspects of Spider-Man’s life fell apart. Harry and Spider-Man were best friends at the beginning of the movie, but Harry winds up sabotaging and ruining aspects of Spider-Man’s life in an effort to get revenge.

In an attempt to save himself and everything he holds dear, Peter must battle against the impact of the suit as Electro, Sandman and Venom, three supervillains, emerge to defeat him.

My favorite character is Spider-Man because he cares for the citizens and is always trying to save New York City. He never gives up, taking on the hardest challenges and not letting them frighten him. Spider-Man is always positive and knows he can do a lot when he puts his mind to it. Furthermore, Maguire’s acting skills are amazing, as he changes from sweet to rude.

The citizens who are fans of Spider-Man placed posters celebrating him around New York City, and many people took photos of him whenever they saw him. He was a hero to the whole town. His popularity was endless. It is sad to see how his fame has affected him because he starts thinking too much of himself and not focusing on his relationship with Gwen, his love interest. Spider-Man’s relationship with her falls apart, and he gets what he deserves.

Despite his failures as a boyfriend, Spider-Man is clever, kind and self-aware. Spider-Man has many obstacles in his way, but his strength of character shines through because he does not let adversity stop him. It is nerve-wracking watching Spider-Man encounter so much struggle, but the tension also keeps the movie interesting right up until the last second, when the film takes an unexpected turn.

Viewers can’t help but love this high-intensity film, so if you have not yet seen it, it is time to check it out on Hulu.
