Senior Tributes

Wow, it’s finally my turn to write my senior tribute. After seeing my sister, Alexa, write her senior tribute three years ago, I was sure the journalism program would be a significant part of my high school career. I have been an active member of the LHS community, so I’m excited to share the experiences that made my high school years so special.

After attending North Arlington public schools through grade 8, I transferred to LHS. I was thrilled because I was ready to make new friends and have a fresh start. However, I didn’t expect to fall in love with the community. I’m proud to now call Lyndhurst my home and share the Golden Bear spirit that comes with being an LHS student.

The Future Business Leaders of America Club has helped shape me into who I am today and prepared me for the next chapter in my life. It has enhanced my passion for volunteering, given me a platform to talk about issues that are important to me, pushed me out of my comfort zone in business competitions and, most importantly, introduced me to some of my best friends.

My fondest memory of my time in high school is working for the Lyndhurst Recreation dance program. It has taught me so much, and I am heartbroken that it won’t be a part of my life next year.

I’m proud to now call Lyndhurst my home and share the Golden Bear spirit that comes with being an LHS student.

Having the privilege of watching young dancers grow season after season has been so fulfilling. Starting a competition team and watching three six-year-olds work tirelessly to place first in their category brought me joy.

I am happy all my efforts to be an active member of my community have paid off. In the fall, I will be studying fashion merchandising at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where I have received a full-ride scholarship. Although I will soon be a Red Fox, I will forever be a Golden Bear at heart.
