While I was having conversations with my friends, they suggested we try out a chicken place called Fluffies Hot Chicken in Hackensack, so one day we headed over and gave it a shot.
Fluffies Hot Chicken opened its Hackensack location in November 2022 on 252 Summit Ave. The Fluffies chain was started by two brothers named Raad and Saad, who so far have two New Jersey locations–one in Hackensack and the other in Bayonne.
When customers step into the restaurant, they are greeted by vibrant colors and bright scenery. Fluffies has seating, but it is more of a grab-and-go type of place with a kiosk. Fluffies’ specialty is its chicken and all the cool ways they incorporate their chicken into all the other items on their menu. Also, you can add spice to your food more of a kick.
The Fluffies Filled Mac & Cheese ($12) that I ordered was delicious. It includes freshly made mac and cheese, chopped Nashville styled fried chicken and Fluffies sauce. Yes, the price of this food is a bit expensive, but the serving is large and very filling. The mac and cheese was tasty, and the chicken was crispy with a great crunch.
What makes Fluffies Filled Fries special is the sauce on the fries, which is mixed with coleslaw to create a brilliant blend of flavors.
My cousin ordered himself the Fluffies Filled Fries ($12), and from the few bites I tasted, it was wonderful. This meal includes Crispy seasoned fries topped with hot Nashville styled fries, hot fried chicken pickles, coleslaw and Fluffies sauce. What makes Fluffies Filled Fries special is the sauce on the fries, which is mixed with coleslaw to create a brilliant blend of flavors. The chicken in this dish was the same as the chicken on the mac and cheese.
My friend ordered the simple chicken tenders ($12), which include three tenders, fries, coleslaw and a pickle. You can never go wrong with tenders as they are large, juicy and tasty. The fries tasted just like the Fluffies Filled Fries, but were served without sauce. Nonetheless, they were scrumptious.
Fluffies has so much to offer, so I hope to see it expand its chain in the upcoming years. With so many dishes on the menu, I can´t wait to try more of Fluffies signature dishes.
