High school is a time for developing as a person and forming new friendships. During these years, students identify what they’re good at, cultivate new interests and see who they fit in with. It’s a time to make mistakes and learn from them. High school is also special because it bridges adolescence and adulthood. Along the way, students gain independence and the confidence to take on new challenges.
One of the highlights of high school is establishing long-lasting friendships. Finding a kind and reliable group of friends can make high school more enjoyable. It can make days when one feels down easier to get through and make every day more interesting.
Taking interesting classes and participating in clubs and sports is another meaningful aspect of high school. It can give students ideas about the hobbies and careers they may want to pursue in the future.
High school is also special because it bridges adolescence and adulthood.
Most of the time in middle school, adolescents don’t have a solid idea of what they want to do professionally because they are still learning about themselves. However, by high school, students are able to think more critically about these questions. It sets itself apart as a time for goal-setting, introspection and self-discovery.
Overall, high school should be a positive experience that students should appreciate and have good memories of. At the same time, it should be taken seriously. It is an opportunity to become more open-minded, develop one’s character, identify new interests and further one’s learning. Therefore, students should not take high school for granted.
