With the Winter Olympics beginning in Milan, Italy, today, The Lighthouse caught up with six members of the LHS community to ask them which sport they are most excited to watch.
Freshman Gabriel Altreche
“Snowboarding. I like the tricks they do and the style they do it in.”
Sophomore James Vuono Reid
“Hockey. I like it because I have played it my whole life.”
Junior Taylor Paglio
“Figure skating. It is interesting to see their technique and effortless movement.”
Senior Brooke Harper
“Skiing. I like watching athletes fly down steep slopes at incredible speeds.”
Social studies teacher Mr. Spence
“Biathlon. It is a really cool sport because it’s two unconventional sports into one, and it takes so much endurance to do it well.”
Choir teacher Ms. Wise
“Bobsledding. I used to compete in it, and I was on an Olympic team.”
