Lyndhurst welcomes Christmas at the 17th Annual Holiday in the Park

Lyndhurst held its 17th Annual Holiday In The Park on Dec. 10 at Lyndhurst Park. Food and drinks including egg nog, fried Oreos, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, Italian sandwiches and zeppoles were available to the public. Activities at the event included carriage rides, photos with Santa and trackless train rides.

Additionally, Holiday Victorian Carolers sang Christmas songs and Santa’s Helpers from “Art of Dance” in North Arlington performed a routine for the crowd. The LHS chorale also performed, singing “S’Vion,” “White Winter Hymnal” and a jazzy rendition of “Carol of the Bells.”

As the chorale exited the stage, three singers, known as the Belle Tones, sang Christmas carols until the tree was lit around 7 p.m. Before the countdown began, attendees sang “Happy Birthday” to Lyndhurst’s Mayor Robert Giangerusso, who turned 75 years old.
