One of the most inspirational places to go during the spring is New York City. Coffee shops and food establishments opened at full capacity on May 19, so the city is buzzing again. Everywhere you look, there are people outside enjoying the weather and socializing.
Since traffic is a problem in New York, there are more people walking to their destination than anywhere else I’ve seen in the world. Also, it’s important to walk the city streets because that is the only way to truly gain an understanding of the city.
New York is not lacking in anything. It has food, entertainment, nature, beaches and retail stores. It’s also where the money is. With Wall Street and many large companies headquartered in the city, it is the ideal place to make money.
Washington Square Park is one of my favorite places to go to for inspiration. During the daytime, it’s a place where writers and artists go to get inspiration for their work. At night, it’s a place where teens and college students gather to hang out or meet up before heading elsewhere for a night on the town.
No matter what you are going through, when you look around, no one cares about your issues. It is a place where everyone is always going at high speeds and focused on their own business.
Dumbo is my favorite spot in Brooklyn. It offers beautiful views, and because it is right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, it has easy access to Manhattan, but it’s also a neighborhood that is so nice that you’ll never want to leave it.
To me, New York City has always been about the energy. No matter what you are going through, when you look around, no one cares about your issues. It is a place where everyone is always going at high speeds and focused on their own business. It serves as a reminder that whatever you are hoping to achieve, you need to go out there and do it yourself because there are plenty of other people who are determined to achieve those same goals.
All in all, the feeling of being in the middle of one of the biggest and most famous metropolises in the world is unmatched. New York’s sites, sports, music, art, innovation, history and diversity make it one-of-a-kind.
