I never believed anyone when they said high school goes by quickly until I actually experienced it. I will be graduating later this week, and I never thought it would be under these circumstances.
This has been a crazy year, but I want to remember my favorite times at LHS. I want to remember all the ups and downs of high school cheerleading. From the top of the pyramid to falling on the floor, my team will always be by my side. I want to let them all know to continue to cheer their hearts out. I want to thank my teammates and Coach Ruiz for being such inspirations. I am so grateful for the experiences and friendships cheerleading has given me.
I will always believe in the motto, “What’s meant to be will be,” and if this is how my year was supposed to go, then I’m going in the right direction.
I want to thank every teacher who has influenced my high school career. I am truly happy to have found what I am passionate about and what I most like to study, which is science. I have decided to attend Monmouth University in West Long Branch to continue my education.
I would like to thank The Lighthouse program for giving me the opportunity to do something I love. Writing has been a big part of my life. This is not how I thought my last article would go, but sitting at home trying to think of how amazing high school was and only remembering Zoom is hard for me.
I will always believe in the motto, “What’s meant to be will be,” and if this is how my year was supposed to go, then I’m going in the right direction. It has been an unpredictable experience, but I would not change it. I will miss everyone so much, and to my friends, I love you all more than anything. As Mac Miller once said, “Oh, I graduated, oh yeah I just graduated high school.”
